why did you want to join us? I own a Virtual Assistant business supporting small businesses and individuals. Having watched over the years how hard William has worked, from being awarded the Churchill Fellowship to establishing Your Support Matters, his and the team's dedication to offering advice and support to disabled people in the community, is truly remarkable. I am so proud to be a part of the team and look forward to working with them.

why did you want to join us?

I have lived experience of being a carer from the age of 10 years old, I as recognised / identified as a young carer by the local authority. I began caring in late 80’s / early 90’s, there has been a lot of positive changes since that time. However, there is always room for improvement and therefore more to be done. I came across YSM and discovered they passionate about empowering people to choose how they are supported.

I have then dedicated almost all my adult life in attaining / achieving qualifications and experience in adult health & social care. I have been responsible for managing teams to deliver a service to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and some mental health. I have been involved in best interest meetings / decisions and liaised with many professionals across the health and social care sector.

YSM provide training and support for PA's, employers and organisations across the country, as well as on-going advocacy with employers. as well as social policy research.
