how to be a good employer course. on this course we look at what makes a good employer and what can make a bad employer. we look at different scenarios and speak about our own experiences about being an individual employer. we like the term employer, as we feel the term "boss" gives the individual a sense of hierarchy rather than the employer and employee feeling like partners. we then look at legal obligations of being an employer. we can run this course online or in person.

How to be a good employer course

Our self directed support course allows individuals and professionals to understand the process of getting a personal budget/direct payment from their local authority. we go through the seven stages of getting a budget from understanding a financial assessment through "how to put a support plan together and how to recruit a personal assistant safely". this is a 2 days course, online or in person.

This course gives new and existing personal assistants an understanding about their role of a PA. this is a Four day in person course. you will get to know the differences between a PA and a carer, as well as how to build a healthy work relationship with your employer. we look at the history of disability and we empower you with inspiration and information such as understanding your legal rights as a personal assistant and how you can possibly make an impact on the lives of the people you support.
